To become a CAIA Candidate, you are strongly encouraged to:
- Have foundational knowledge of the financial service industry.
- Have completed a college corporate finance course and an introduction to statistics course.
- Possess an ID that meets exam policy guidelines. CAIA Association requires that every exam Candidate has a valid form of identification that meets ID policy guidelines to sit for their CAIA exam.
- Demonstrate English proficiency - The CAIA curriculum prepared by the CAIA Association and the CAIA exams are only offered in English. Be prepared to take the test in English which requires English proficiency for reading comprehension and formulating answers to complex financial scenarios.
- Live in a participating country. Review the OFAC Policy to determine if there any sanctions on your home country that prohibit the CAIA Association from offering the exam.
Registered Candidates receive free access to the digital curriculum and
have the option to purchase a print version.
